Goodbye Kowloon Bay

大家好! Hello everyone! This week was pretty interesting because it was transfer week! So essentially I did a lot of packing and unpacking. But fear not, there was plenty of room for some great missionary work as well! 😁 Let's start with Monday. For pday we didn't do anything crazy, actually we mostly stayed in all day, but we did go out to get takeout lunch and groceries. I had some seafood soup that was quite delicious I must say. And then I got to play some D&D!!💪🐉⚔ It was over zoom, granted, but it was still fun! Definitely looking forward to continuing that! On Tuesday it was the first day of Chinese New Year and we had a 2 and a half hour zone council over zoom which was pretty crazy haha. We talked about a lot of good stuff like how we can continue to improve in our finding and proselyting work under the current restrictions. We also got to play a zone game of hot seat which is always fun 😁. Then after that we had LPOs! I did the Faith and Repentance principles fr...

Cleaned for 4 hours. Nice!

大家好! Hey everybody! I hope this past week has been full of wonderful fun for everyone. As for me, it's been a lot more of being inside, but 唔緊要。Just normal procedure for a covid mission 👍 On Monday for pday Sister Bohman and I got takeout from a nice little Vietnamese restaurant in Mong Kok. We had to eat it in a random little park and a lot of people stared at us but the food was great so no biggie. After that we went to a giant mall and got lost in Ikea for a good 45 minutes, looking for pillows and then rounded off the day by getting groceries and carrying them for the whole 20 minute walk home. Definitely more swole after that endeavor.  On Tuesday some guys came and worked on our toilet for a few hours so it was pretty noisy in our apartment. That's okay though beause it was an excuse to go outside for a bit :D. We got my favorite Korean fried chicken for lunch so that was pretty epic but we also had to stop teaching our friend Tom so that was...less epic. But it's ...

大家好! It's been another riveting week consisting of 80% indoor activities so I'm sure you'll be interested to hear what we've done. On Monday for pday we mostly stayed inside but my mom ordered us some Mcdonalds over delivery, which is always a treat, and then we had a lovely time getting groceries which was pretty sweet. I got a giant bo loh baau from this bakery on the way home and the workers were so surprised to hear me speak Cantonese! Even though I basically only said bo loh baau they were still very impressed. The people here are so nice :'). Other than that we just did our weekly planning. It was a very chill pday for sure. Tuesday we had district and zone council over zoom again which was fun. We roleplayed teaching someone how to pray and talked about some important things to include in our teaching which was pretty cool. We also have a new member of the zone! His name is Elder Tsoi and he's a Hong Kong native! He doesn't really speak English but ...

New Transfer same area

大家好! So yesterday was texchnically transfers except only one new missionary (a native) came in and so there weren't any other changes made. Here's to my 3rd transfer in the area!  As for my week, overall it was pretty chill. Because of Omnicron we aren't encouraged to do outdoor finding and we aren't supposed to eat at restaurants and stuff so we basically stayed inside all week haha. Last Monday for pday Sister Bohman and I went to Tsim Sha Tsui to get some stationary supplies and ingredients to make some Korean food I've been wanting to make. I didn't end up finding all of the ingredients sadly :( but it was still a fun day and we got to see some cool stores and shopping centers. We also got some of those Japanese souffle pancakes which I've always wanted to try! They were alright. They probably would've been better if we dined in instead of did takeout but rules are rules 🤷‍♀️ On Tuesday we had district council and a zone meeting over zoom so that ...

大家好! It's been a bit of a stressful week to be honest but we're still moving forward so 加油! Monday for pday Sister Bohman and I went to the mission office to meet up with a bunch of other missionaries to try and set up a weekly pday D&D campaign! There were so many people interested who have never played before so I was so excited! We spent like 3 hours making characters and I wasn't even able to make mine because I was trying to help everyone else haha. I ended up making mine a few days later but then our zone leader messaged into the chat that he had mentioned it to our mission president and he called it SECRET COMBINATIONS and had it BANNED. Our ZL says that we might still be able to do it as a zone but still that was such a let down :') I hope that all of those first time players will get to play at some point because it's so fun! But anyways now on to real missionary work stuff haha On Tuesday we had zone lunch together, district council, and LPOs (for the ...
